Learn to be an effective close-up magician. Find out the magician’s tricks of the trade such as making objects vanish and re-appear, making strange predictions, and causing solid objects to pass through each other. This course teaches easy to master tricks done with everyday objects such as playing cards, rubber bands, coins and bills. You will also gain mastery of some ‘special’ magician’s tools and props. Learn amazing tricks to entertain and impress friends, family, coworkers and business clients.

  ·   Learn how to effectively use professional deck of cards
·   Have some one name a card from a small group and show that the back of the card is different from the others
·   Magically fuse two pieces of string into one piece
·   Get the spectator to find their own card with just a few cuts
·   Cause ashes to mysteriously appear on the palm of someone's hand
·   Vanish a handkerchief in your bare hand and pull it out of your pocket
·   Get someone to find your lucky card without touching the deck. Using just a regular deck!
·   Place two cards in the middle of the deck then have them instantly re-appear at your fingertips
·   Take a bite out of a quarter and the restore it
·   Cause an object to travel from one hand to another by counting to ten
·   Vanish a burnt match and have it reappear back in the matchbook, attached to the matchbook!
·   Deal a great poker hand after someone shuffles the cards

Do you already know some close-up tricks but would like to improve? Then this magic class is for you! In this class you will get a rock solid introduction into basic sleight-of-hand techniques. In addition we will other topics such as how to: deal with difficult spectators, routine a simple yet effective show, make the magic you do know stronger, and customize the your magic to suit you.  Several simple yet effective tips will be given through out the course of the class. Tricks taught in this class will rely on more on sleight of hand than the use of simple gimmicks. You will learn effects using simple out of pocket items such as:

·Change the lengths of three different pieces of rope
·The backside of the spectator’s card turns from blue to red, not once but twice!
·Learn to control the spectator’s card in the deck
·Have a spectator pick a card and then show it has traveled to an unusual place
·Manipulate spectators into picking their own card out of the deck
·Change two coins from silver to copper several times then hand the coins out for examination

For this class some prior magic experience is preferred but not necessary. (Participation of our prior adult magic classes is ideal for this class.)
