This book is a tribute to my beloved beginner’s books, the books that gave me my first tools to communicate with magic. The tricks taught in those books were sleight-free and simple, so someone new to magic could immediately dive in and fall in love with this beautiful art form. Although part of my tribute was also to emulate the vintage look of those books, don’t let the cover design deceive you; the tricks in this book transform beginner’s tricks into powerful magic that fools even those in the know. 

So, although these tricks might be based on effects you are familiar with, they have been reworked, layered with multiple ruses and principles, so that before your audience even attempts to peel back those layers, they surrender and experience pure magic.
